The Story Behind Amavoy

The woman that started it all...

When I was a kid, my grandma used to make me a fizzy green drink called Tarragon Soda. It was herbal, refreshing, and unlike anything else. A classic home recipe, but virtually unknown in the UK.

As I grew up, I could never find it on shelves. So, at the beginning of 2025, I decided to recreate it from scratch for my housemates to try.

After countless trials and green-stained countertops, I finally nailed the flavour and they loved it. 

“You should actually make this a thing” they said. So I did.

That's how Amavoy was born!

The version we’ve made today is a modernised take on my grandma’s recipe building on the same bold flavour, but with a clean and refreshing twist. We use natural coloursnatural flavourszero sugar, and no preservatives. 

Instead, we gently pasteurise every can to keep it fresh, naturally. Here is a picture of our first lab production sample!

The name?

Amavoy blends two words that capture what we’re about: 

“Ama”, from Latin, meaning to love

“Voy”, from the French word voyage - a journey.

​Amavoy is a love letter to the journey of flavour. Rooted in tradition, remade for today.

What began as a nostalgic kitchen experiment has become a bold botanical sparkling drink crafted with care.
